The Weekly Recap: Goodbye to an Awful Year (Week of 12/24/17)

I'm linking up with Kimberly who blogs at The Caffeinated Book Reviewer for The Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a weekly meme where all us bloggers talk about out week in reading, what books we got, and what's coming up in the week ahead. I'm also linking up with Book Photo Sundays hosted by Rabbit Ears Book Blog, a weekly meme where we share our favorite photos of the week.

MY LIFE
Hello everyone! This is a bittersweet week for me. My brother is leaving on Sunday, and I'm really going to miss him. We don't have a normal brother sister relationship. My brother and I are ten years apart in age, and he practically helped raise me. I'm really sad to see him go, but I'm happy that we were able to spend these ten days together. Maybe someday I will be able to join him on the East Coast. It was also cool to see him because we were able to finish Breath of the Wild in only nine days (which is absolutely insane once you realize it took us around 60 hours to do that). We didn't 100% it, but we finished all of the main quests which was fun. This was also a great week because I got to go paddle boarding again. I haven't really been able to go in a year or two because I just wasn't feeling well enough. But I've been going the past couple days and I've found my love for it again. I'm hoping to go at least once a week until we get into the rainy season. Can you tell I'm from California? lol I can't think of anyone else who would paddle board in the middle of winter.
Me paddle boarding on Thursday afternoon

So, have a good end to your 2017, and for heaven's sake, let's hope that 2018 it better than that shit show called 2017!

WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS WEEK?
This week I propose a toast to 2018, and say goodbye to 2017. There also might be a blog tour, but I'm not sure. I was supposed to do a review, but I never received a copy from the publisher, and haven't heard from them in a few weeks. So, we'll see if it happens or not.

SONG OF THE WEEK
I've really been listening to Panic! At the Disco's cover of Bohemian Rhapsody this week. I really think that they did a good job. :)

    1. Thank you! Yes! One of the perks of California is that water sports are still a possibility in the winter. Happy New Year! :)
