The Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag
Hello everybody! So, I've never really done tags on the blog, and so I was excited to see that Amy over at Bursting with Books did The Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag, and tagged everyone to do it. This tag looks really fun, and really interesting. I don't know if my answers (or gifs for that matter) will live up to Amy's answers (and gifs), so you can check out her post HERE. Oh, and the tag was originally created by Trey over at Trey Schnarr Books. Okay, on with the tag.

How long have you been a blogger?
I've been blogging for almost two and a half years now! And, to match Amy, I will also supply a link to me very first post, a review of Fairest by Marissa Meyer. *cringes remembering the review* Gee, Amy, I hope that all of out answers aren't the same. XD
At what point do you think you will stop?
Honestly, I don't know. There are some times when I think that I don't want to blog or review anymore. And then there are times like these where I make lots of posts and have lots of ideas and never want to stop. I would love to continue blogging for as long as I can, but it is likely that a time will come where I can't blog. But until then...
What's the best thing?
I think that it's finding other bloggers and reviewers that also have a love for books, and helping authors promote their books. It's a great community (most of the time, sometimes we can be mean!), and I'm really glad that I was able to jump into it. :)
What's the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?
My worst thing is about the bookish community in general. I feel like we have become to scary, stressful, and to repelling to those wanting to join. For example, Twitter. I just don't even really go on it anymore because every time that I do I see an author, or blogger, or someone is calling another person a moron or idiot and it just like
Every time I go on Twitter, I log on, and then get off five minutes later because thE StrESs. Can we just stop yelling at each other for five minuets please? How do we make it okay? One cute goat gif at a time.
How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?
Not very long actually. I rarely use gifs (only when I'm doing a tag, actually), and even that doesn't take too long. I use all of my own photos that I post on Instagram, so they're already on my computer. Photos are easy for me. :)
Who's your book crush?
I'm not sure right now, I don't really get book crushes like most do. Though Spencer Reed from Criminal Minds is one of the coolest kids on the block if I do say so myself.

What author would you like to have on your blog?
Jessica Calla, India R. Adams, Megan Brothers, and my brother (he isn't an author, but has that ever stopped me before? nOOoooOOO).
What do you wear when you write blog posts?
nothing
No but seriously I'm usually in sweatpants, normal cloths, or my PJs. This was a weird question???
How long does is take you to prepare?
Awwwww, that's so cute. They think that I prepare. Well I don't. Everything is last minuet, and everything gets reedited the day after I post it because I always spot a typo due to stress typing.
How do you feel about the book blogger community/culture?
Overall, it's fabulous! Lots of great people here. So many. Lots. Great. Greasy (where did that come from??).
What do you think one should do to have a successful blog?
Well, I'm hardly the person to be answering this but I'll give it my best shot. I think that one of the most important things is to comment on other people's blogs. Otherwise it will be hard to find people to talk with on your blog and other social media. So, make sure that you visit other blogs and comment!
Who do you tag?
I tag you! Especially if you just started blogging, are getting back into blogging, or just don't know what to post. Tags are a super fun thing to do on the blog. Let me know if you're going to do it in the comments so I can check out your answers. :)
Lovely book tag:). I love your offbeat answers - yes... I thought the question about what you wear when you're blogging was a bit odd as well. Have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYa, it's like, why do you need to know exactly?? Thanks for saying hi! :D
DeleteFun tag! I love the gifs, they are really funny! :)
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you! Funny gifs are the best, now if I could only figure out how to shrink them. lol
DeleteI feel like that goat GIF could definitely make Twitter better lol. Twitter can be tough... and that's funny about preparing. :) I think a lot of us bloggers wing it more than is readily apparent??
ReplyDeleteFun tag!
Yes! If bloggers had planners it would just be "IDK, let's wing it" on every page. lol
