The Weekly Recap: And Then There Were Three (Week of 6/4/17)

Happy Sunday! I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffienated Book Reviewer; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Book Photo Sundays, hosted by Rabbit Ears Book Blog.

-MY LIFE-
Good morning, everyone! I haven't slept yet. So, this hasn't been a wonderful week. It started off with me crashing, and loosing the ability to eat. So, remember that horrid medicine I always swear that I will never take again, but always end up on? Well, I'm back on it! Oh joy. But at least I don't feel like death anymore. So, that's an improvement. Oh, I also saw the new pirates movie! It wasn't my favorite, but it was totally enjoyable. Oh, and there was another loss in the Betta family. Devi died yesterday evening due to unknown causes. There was nothing physically wrong that I could spot on him, and his water quality was perfect. So, right now his tank is just sitting there. But, just to be safe, I'm going to be sterilizing his tank. That way nothing will be left. It will destroy my cycle, but I'm okay with that. Also, #COYER starts this week! I've finished my list, and I'm pretty happy with it. And I'm sure that I will have lots of time to read because I need to go to the DMV this week. Not the most enjoyable thing, but something that has to be done. So, have a good week, and test your water quality!
-CURRENTLY READING-
The Dead HouseA Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3)
While I do have more than this marked on my "Currently Reading" shelf, these are the two that I'm truly reading right now.
-WHAT I READ-
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side (Jessica, #1)
I picked this one up this week, simply because I needed a break from ACOWAR. Don't get me wrong, the book is still great, I just needed something mindless as a refresher. And this book defiantly hit the spot! I rated it three stars, and I'll try to have a review up later this week. :)
-POSTS YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED-
It was a slow week on the blog, so I'm hoping that I can get more posts up this week. :)

-QUESTION OF THE WEEK-
We are half way through the year, and I want to know how your reading challenges are going! So, let me know in the comments!

Comments

  1. Sorry to hear you are back on 'that' medication again - though relieved to know it hasn't caused quite so much havoc this time around. Also sorry to hear about the fish:(. I'm interested in hearing how you get on with the Sarah J. Maas book. I'm doing okay - I've read 84/100 books and reviewed 78 (I think) so I am on course to meet my challenge of reading and reviewing 100 books this year. Take care and I hope this coming week is a better one!

  2. Your bookish haul photographs very well! Thanks for sharing...

Good luck with "that" medication...and hopefully fewer side effects.

I think I'm more than halfway through my goal toward 100 books from my "purchased stacks." I love the Read the Books You Buy Challenge.

Have a great week, and get some sleep. Thanks for visiting my blog.

  3. Sorry to hear about the medication- hope you feel better this week. And the betta too. :(

We had fish growing up and sometimes they died and we had no ideas why! I always felt bad though... it was usually the saltwater ones, they were sometimes tough to keep alive!

My challenges are mostly going good, except for my urban fantasy one. That one's not doing so good lol.

    1. Ya, saltwater is a lot harder than freshwater. I'm almost certain that he didn't die of a parasite, but I'm going to sanitize his old tank just to be sure. Have a good week! :)

  6. That sucks that you had to go on that medicine again. I hope you get better. I have always thought of reading Jessica's Guide but not gotten to it, though its on my shelf. I hope you enjoy Dead House, it was different.

    Have a great week,
    Stormi

    1. Jessica's Guide was definitely an impulse read, but I enjoyed it more than I thought that I would. :)
