Babble from a Book Nerd: Hello COYER, Goodbye Reading Slump

Confession time: I'm in a reading slump. Another confession: I have no clue how to get out of it. I always seem to get into reading slumps during the summer, which is when I'm suppose to get the majority of my books read for the year. And it happened again this year. But I say no more, it's time to kick this reading slump right out of my brain.

Now, this all sounds great, but it's actually a lot harder than you might think. To put this in perspective, I'm in a reading slump, and I'm currently reading A Court of Wings and Ruin. Yes, you read that right. So, I had to make my plan simple. It's COYER season, and I'm using that to my advantage. I'm going to be reading an hour at night, every night. Hopefully, this will get me back to reading.

And, I will be following a reading list. I know that this doesn't seem like the normal thing to do when you're in a reading slump, but I'm hoping that having a list will make it easier. Nothing to stress over. Just pick a book and read.

So, what do you think of my plan? Do you have any more tips for me? We'll see how this goes, and you can check up on my Weekly Recaps to see how my reading is working out. Until then, happy reading! :)

  1. Ooo, good luck! I really hope COYER helps. I was in a mini reading slump but I think I'm coming out of it now. Fingers crossed! ;-)
