The New Year Book Tag
Hello, hello, hello! I hope that everyone is having a fantastic week. I was tagged by the wonderful Kristina over at Books-and-Dachshunds to do this tag. So, without further ado, The New Year Book Tag!
Almost every book I am currently reading I started in 2017. So, I'm either going to be trying to finish them, or DNF them. It will be nice to have that shelf on Goodreads look more manageable. 😂
2.) Do you have an Autumnal Book to transition to the End/Beginning of the New Year?
I have to agree with Kristina and say that I don't really read books with the seasons. Sometimes I'll read a wintry/Holiday book in December, but that's really it. I'm more of a mood reader, so I have a hard time reading books that go with the seasons. I just read whatever I'm in the mood for.
3.) Is there a new release you're still waiting for from 2017?
I was awful about reading new releases in 2017. So, there are a lot I want to read in 2018. It works out especially well for me because now they'll count for the Beat the Backlist challenge. 😄
4.) What are three books you want to read before the end of 2018?
Ooooo, this is a good question! I think that I want to finish A Court of Wings and Ruin, I want to read River when it comes out, and I also want to read Geekerella.
5.) Have you already made reading plans for 2018?
Yes I have! I set my Goodreads reading challenge at 60 books this year, and I'm also participating in a few other challenges. You can read my 2018 Challenge Sign Up Post to find out more about them. 😊
6.) Who do you tag?
I'll tag Greg @Book Haven, Lefty @The Left-Handed Book Lover, and Sarah @Brainfluff. Oh, and if you want to give this one a try, feel free! :)

I've got some 2017 holdovers too, and honestly some I might have to let go. If they sit too long I have a hard time getting back into them lol. Oh well... and I'm a mood reader too. I don't usually read seasonal for that reason, although occasionally a book catches my eye and the time of year seems right.
ReplyDeleteOoh thanks for tagging me! THis one's fun... :)
Same, I have a couple that I started in July of last year. I'll go hide now. XD
DeleteThank you so much for tagging me - I'll have a go at this one tomorrow:).
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see it. :)
DeleteHow many books are you currently reading? Any more than two at a time hurts my head and I can't take anything in. Ooh Geekarella is such a cute, fluffy read, really looking forward to seeing what you think of it!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm only reading one, but my Goodreads shelf says otherwise. I really need to clean it up.
DeleteAw I love tags! I haven't done one in a really long time, I need to go back to them soon! Good luck with reading 60 books this year, that's an awesome goal. I also want to read more 2017 releases now (I can't believe those are backlist now, I remember wanting to buy them as soon as they came out!) Thanks for sharing!

Yes, tags are a lot of fun. And I know! How did 2017 go by so fast? :)
DeleteI'm a mood reader too. Have a hard time stick to any theme reading! good luck with your GR challenge!
ReplyDeleteMe too, sometimes I wish that I had an easier time with reading lists!
DeleteI loved Geekerella. It was fun and cute and made me smile tons. I hope you love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteSame thing with being a mood reader! The seasons definitely don't matter to me. Sometimes I'll read 3 straight contemporary books, and then after that I'll read 5 fantasy books. WHO KNOWS. And good luck finishing A Court of Wings and Ruin--I've heard so many mixed thoughts about it!
ReplyDelete- Aimee @ Aimee, Always
Right??? I'm kind of on a realistic fiction kick right now, which is kind of weird because I don't usually read a ton of them. I'm glad that you've heard mixed reviews about ACOWAR, because I'm having a hard time getting through it.
DeleteI have to agree that I'm a mood reader too. I try to read at least one seasonal book a season, but that's about it. Good luck reaching 60 books this year!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
