The Weekly Recap: Damn you Cold (Week of 1/29/17)
Happy Sunday! I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffienated Book Reviewer; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Book Photo Sundays, hosted by Rabbit Ears Book Blog.
-MY LIFE-
What can I say about this week? It started off okay, all things considered. Then February came. I had four psychology tests, and I'm not confidant about how I did at all. Of course my teacher is leaving me in suspense with the grades not being posted. The next day was a bit better with me acing another test, but on Friday I had to leave early because I've come down with a cold. If you didn't know, I have a chronic illness and a couple autoimmune diseases. Because of this I get an infusion every four weeks that suppresses my immune system (a nice way of saying it knocks it out). So getting a cold is a big deal for me because it hits me twice as hard, and usually lasts twice as long. So this weekend has been one of laying on the sofa, watching New Girl, and reading books that are not related to school in anyway. One good thing is that I picked up Weird Girl and What's his Name, and I'm absolutely loving it. It's so much better than I thought that it was going to be, and I can't wait to write my review for it. So ladies, gentlemen, and people who don't identify with a gender, have a good week, and stay healthy!

ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!
Why thank you! :)
DeleteOh dear - I do hope you feel better soon, Anna! Lots of vitamin C tabs should help you bounce back and they shouldn't interfere with your other medication, though obviously do check... Glad you got the chance to read some fiction, though. Do have a better week and many thanks for swinging by earlier:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice! I'll have to check. :)
DeleteSorry you aren't feeling well! I hope you feel better soon! Lots of rest and reading is what I think will work to get you 100% ;)
ReplyDeleteHope this week is a good one! Happy Reading!
Thank you, Michelle! :)
DeleteOh, feel better! I had a cold about a week and a half ago, and it was my first in years, so I complained and acted like a baby! Now I am sorry, as yours sounds so much worse! Enjoy your books, and thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Luckily I'm already starting to feel a bit better, so it probably won't last for as long as they usually do. :)
DeleteI love the titles of these lol. But sorry to hear about the cold- seems like everyone is sick right now. I think I've caught it now too. :( Hope you feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteWeird Girl and what's His Name is new to me but with a title like that I'll have to check it out. And I've only seen a few episodes of New Girl but I thought it was fun.
I'm on the fifth season of New Girl, so I've almost watched all that's on Netflix. It's isn't my favorite show, but it's defiantly fun! I think that you would really like Weird Girl, it has a lot of Science Fiction references. :)
DeleteWeird Girl and What's His Name sounds really interesting.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon!

Thank you! :)
DeleteI hadn't realised you had a chronic illness. I have 3 autoimmune diseases but they're mostly under control so aren't too problematic, but I I can't even imagine what it would like to have something complicating that.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better! I love the title of 'Weird Girl and What's His Name'!
As long as my medicine is working I'm usually fine, and everything stays under control. But ya, sometimes it can be a bit complicated! ;)
DeleteHope your feeling better and that you did great on your test. I hate when they hold you in suspense.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and have a great week!

I know! Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow! :)
