The Weekly Recap: Change of Plans... (Week of 11/20/16)

Happy Sunday! I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffienated Book Reviewer; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Book Photo Sundays, hosted by Rabbit Ears Book Blog.

-MY LIFE-
Hello everybody! I have news, so gather round! First, I ACTUALLY FINISHED A BOOK. I THINK I NEED A PARTY BECAUSE HOLLY SHIT THAT TOOK FOREVER. I finished Summer Days and Summer Nights, and I ended up really enjoying it! There were some stories that I liked more than others, but there are definitely some authors that I'm going to keep my eyes on. So overall, SUCCESS! Then I decided that I was going to start clean, and clear off all of the books I was trying to read. I decided that I was going to start reading a contemporary because those usually get me out of reading slumps, so naturally I started reading Glass Sword which is not contemporary is any way possible. My decision makes sense on planet Mars, but not so much here on Earth. Anyone from Mars reading? Can you help me understand my mind? Please?

Second, I didn't end up visiting my grandparents for Thanksgiving. There was too much snow, and I wouldn't have been able to get back home. So I mainly hung out with my Mom eating chocolate donuts, drinking sugar soda, and playing Pokemon Moon.

Finally, I'm hosting a readathon! Me and Amy are hosting the I'm Way Behind Readathon, and I'm super excited! You can check out the Twitter page to learn more. Alright, I think that's it. Have a fabulous transition into December, and read some good books everybody!

    1. It is really pretty! I feel like that's how it goes for anthologies, but I usually enjoy most of the stories. :)

  2. I'm sorry you didn't get to your grandmother's. My son and I have Thansgiving with just the two of us, so we don't have to worry about traveling anywhere. I am joining your read-a-thon! I stayed away from Black Friday sales because I am hoping to get a new Kindle Fire on sale in December. Have a wonderful week and I am glad your reading slumnp is over. :)

  4. Congratulations on finishing the book and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully it'll help you find a way out of the reading slump... My goodness WHAT a lovely lot of books you acquired during Black Friday. We tried to stay right away from it as Himself and I have rather splurged on book buying during November and we're coming into the most expensive time of the year and Himself may well be striking in the near future, so we need to be careful:(. 6. Congrats on finishing a book! *high fives* And I totally understand but can't explain the next-read phenomenon. I'll say, ok next book is a paranormal and I end up with a thriller. Or some such thing. lol If you figure it out let me know. :)

    1. I really envy people who can read from a list. Anytime I try to do that my mind decides to read a book that's not on the list. ;)
