The Weekly Recap: A Very Bad Week (Week of 11/6/16)
Happy Sunday! I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffienated Book Reviewer; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Book Photo Sundays, hosted by Rabbit Ears Book Blog.
-MY LIFE-
Well, It's been a bad week for me (and a lot of other people). America has a new president-elect (which I don't like), I haven't read a single book, and I have a cold. It's the trifecta of a bad week; president-elect that I don't like, a cold, and a reading slump. What. Happened. Oh! But I did hit 10,000 words on my NaNoWriMo novel! So, I guess that there was a little bit of good in this week.

-QUESTION OF THE WEEK-
How was your week? Was it better than mine? Let me know in the comments!
Well I hope the reading slump goes away! And congrats on NaNo! I didn't read much this week either- and the election. Ugh. Nuff said about that lol.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope this week is better! And happy reading...
Agreed. :)
DeleteAs the years go by, there are more and more important things regarding our country, and the elections become more important to each one of us. I hope that you find some peace and I pray that Donald Trump will step up and work hard for ALL of us.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm hoping as well.
DeleteLast week was so chaotic. I hope things get better soon.
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!

Me too.
DeleteI can fully understand your pain - I'm the other side of the Atlantic and felt similarly dismayed. It felt like Brexit allll over again:(. On the plus side - 10,000 words is very impressive - no wonder you've a reading slump. Take care and I hope that next week is a better one. ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThat Amity cover is cool as all get out.
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental My Sunday Memes
It is!
DeleteI've been in a bit of a reading slump this week too, hopefully it will disappear for both of us.
ReplyDeleteHopefully!
DeleteHope your slump goes away...I'm reading the Winter version of twelve Stories now...hope both versions are great!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that your enjoying it! :)
DeleteSlumps always happen from time to time. I hope you love all of your new books.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Thank you!
DeleteYeah this past week has been...difficult. Like you, I don't like the president elected so it's been hard to accept it. I hope your reading slump leaves soon!
ReplyDeleteGenesis @ Latte Nights Reviews
Thanks! :)
DeleteSorry about the reading slump and hope you find something that pulls you out of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGood luck with NaNo. And good luck getting out of your slumps. It's been a difficult year all around. Here's hoping that we all get a clue and 2017 goes better.
ReplyDeleteSunday Summary #28
Here, here!
DeleteThere is just so much hate and fear going on right now - thankfully I'm not in the United States, but I live less than an hour from the US border, so it all feels just too close to home right now. Sometimes you have to stop and find the positives wherever and whenever you can, no matter how small they might seem!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm trying. :)
DeleteI hope your cold is gone, Anna. Last week was definitely a tough week, and it doesn't seem like things will get back to normal any time soon.
ReplyDeleteHave you managed to read something to get away from the news?
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
My mind picked a horrible week to get in a reading slump!
