The Weekly Recap: The One In Which I Was Eaten By School (Week of 6/24/18)

I'm linking up with Kimberly who blogs at The Caffeinated Book Reviewer for The Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a weekly meme where all us bloggers talk about our week in reading, what books we got, and what's coming up in the week ahead. I'm also linking up with Book Photo Sundays hosted by Rabbit Ears Book Blog, a weekly meme where we share our favorite photos of the week.

My Life
Hola. It's me. Long time no see. How's everyone doing? Good I'd hope (though one can never really tell nowadays). Yes, I have somehow managed to (partially) crawl out of the blogging slump/school induced panic I was/am in enough to come back! The spring semester has ended and all I gotta say about that is

Honestly this past year of school has been one of the worst I've ever had. Seriously. I was out sick for almost half of it. I honestly don't know how I finished my classes. Oh yeah, I didn't lmao. And that brings us here. I'm taking one class officially (which I actually really like), and I'm unofficially working on three others. Yeah, my summer is being taken up with school, which I actually kinda like. I like school and learning, and it's honestly been a nice summer. I have a couple weekend trips I might be taking in late July/early August, and so I'm basically just working my way through the summer until I get to go on those. It's a lot of work, so I'm busy. And yet I still find the time to have multiple mental breakdowns. 😂😂

I'm planning on doing some remodeling on the blog soon. I know that it feels like I'm constantly changing things around, but it's kinda what I do whenever I come back from a break. It might take me a bit to actually implement it on the blog, because (I'll give you a hint) I gotta do some painting first. ;)

Oh! I also got my privacy policy up! So you can check it out here if you'd like. :) And I just randomly signed up for Camp NaNoWrimo! I'm gonna get nothing written, but it's the thought that counts?

I guess that's all I have for you for right now. So, until you read whatever I write again, happy reading everybody! :)

Before You Go...
Question of the Week
If you could only use one color pen for the rest of your life, which color would you choose and why? Let me know in the comments down below. :)

Comments

  1. Glad you're having a good summer so far! I always liked learning (not necessarily school) so I can see that being kinda fun in the summer?

Good luck with Camp NaNo! And ooh Paper Girls- I just read the first one on ComiXology. I have to say I'm kinda intrigued!

I would probably choose a black pen, cause I seem to like those the most. But then again sometimes blue. Nah, black. :)

  2. I'm a professor, and despite the fact that I don't have to, I still teach all summer. Like you, I just think learning is fun. :)

  3. Wait. Did I comment on this one, or did I just want to? XD I think I was starting to write a comment but then needed to go out in the morning... and now it's nighttime xD sorry if I'm double posting! Glad you like the schoolwork, that's certainly the best way to finish it all stress free :) hope you have a good month.

  4. I’d choose a blue pen. It less boring than black, but it’s still socially acceptable to use on everything. Sorry you had a rough school year. Hopefully you get to have some fun this summer. Enjoy your new books. I hope you have a good week!

  5. Yikes! Sorry you had a bad school year. Glad that you are out of school though! I would use a blue pen for the rest of my life because blue is my favorite color!

  6. I'm sorry this semester was so rough. Hopefully you'll be able to get done what you need to this summer. I'm still debating NaNo. I'm currently working on a project but am still in the researching/outlining/procrastinating stage. Happy reading!

  9. Glad to have you back! I hope you have a good summer and I'm sorry to hear this last term was such a nightmare... Good for you not letting that beat you! Love your book pics, by the way... I'd choose a teal coloured pen - I love the colour and it's more assertive than lilac, which is my other favourite:). Hope this week is a good one, Anna.

  10. In the past, I'd have said blue but I'm a black pen girl nowadays...

  11. I hope things start looking up for you and you are feeling much better. It sounds like you have had a rough time of it. I am glad you are enjoying your studies. That always makes things easier. :-) Capture Me looks good! I think I am going to pick up a romance to read next. I feel my reading mood swinging in that direction . . . I still need to put together a privacy policy. I'm so behind. Ugh. I hope you have a great month of July!
