Synopsis: Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomas's plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

One thing is certain, being married to one of the hottest rock stars on the planet is sure to be a wild ride.

My Review

I'm going to be honest with you guys, I don't actually remember a lot about this one. But I'm actually kind of glad about it?? Because I gotta tell you, this was boring as fuck. Well, no. Fucking is more interesting than this one. I'm serious. Like, I'm going to need someone to erase this one from my memory.

I mean, the main problem with this one was our main characters. I would compare them to two pieces of cardboard, but that would be offensive for the cardboard. Seriously, I couldn't picture them, like, at all. They lacked any development, and were so bland that the only thing I could picture was two blank blobs kissing each other.

The problem with the rest of the book was that it relied solely on the characters, and you all know how I felt about those. The story was about the instant love of two bland characters. There was no action besides the guy being a stalker, and some punches thrown. The odd part was that the beginning of the story was super slow, and the MC's relationship was going at 100 mph despite this.

Now, this all would have been better if the writing was good, but it was really just sub-par at best. I mean, the whole reason I picked this one up was because I was told that this was the best NA book out there. You wanna see what NA can be like? Read this one. And, all things considered, I may just be an outlier. A lot of people really liked this one. But the disappointment made this one even worse for me.

So overall I really, really, really didn't like this one. With badly devolved characters and very little plot, I'm sad that this is the best that NA has to offer.

  1. You review really reminded me why I really hate erotica now. I mean, I was never a fan of the idea of a genre like erotica, so the only reason I tried it was because I legit had no idea what it is like. In other words, absolutely clueless. This is the biggest problem with erotica. The books in this genre so often reach to a point that there are literally no story at all. It's like the story that were weak from the very beginning just vanished for the sex to take over the ENTIRE book.

    1. Awwwwww, I don't think that all erotica is that way! It's hard to deny that a lot of it is, but I have seen some people find some gems in the genre.

But I agree, I'm going to need more plot/character development along with the sex. lol

  2. I read this a long time ago and liked it, but if I would have read it now I don't think I would enjoy it as much. I kind of moved away from erotica because I didn't want to read pages and pages of a sex scene, they got very repetitive over time and just became boring. I didn't want to waste my reading time on something I wouldn't enjoy. Great review.
